Spring has arrived!

It is the season when hills are colored with various flowers and when the cherry blossoms are in bloom.

According to forecasts by the Japan Weather Association, the cherry blossoms in Kagoshima City will open on 20 March and be in full bloom around 29 March.

The following table shows the main cherry blossom viewing spots in Kagoshima Prefecture, so please take a look at it when you go out.

Although the park is nearly an hour’s drive from Kanoya City, it has long been known as a scenic spot and has attracted many visitors.The riverbed of the Hanase River has a 100-metre-wide bedrock bed stretching for 2 km, which looks as if it has been carefully laid out flat slabs of rock.A promenade along the stream allows visitors to enjoy a walk and admire the beautiful scenery. The park is also well known for its wisteria, cherry blossom, maple trees, and azaleas.
