Kagoshima-Chuo Station offers a Park & Ride system, allowing travelers to drive to the station and switch to the Shinkansen. If you are using the Shinkansen, you can receive a discount on parking fees—a great benefit for travelers!
The payment system for Amu Plaza parking has changed to a license plate recognition system. Previously, a parking ticket needed a validation stamp, but now, the process is different.
Below are the steps for receiving parking discounts under the new system. Make sure to check these details before your trip!
The following parking lots are eligible for the Park & Ride service:
Amu Plaza Kagoshima Parking (East 1, East 2, West 1, West 2)

・Press the button on the machine to issue a service ticket.
・Tips:
The button may require a firm press to work. If “Processing…” does not appear, press again.
If you’re in a hurry, you can also take a service ticket from the box next to the machine.
2. Paying for Parking
・When returning, go to the parking lot’s pre-payment machine.
・Enter your car’s license plate number.
・Before inserting money, scan the QR code on your service ticket.
