Amu plaza recreated its Christmas impression this year!
The concept of the Christmas illumination is “Japanese Traditional Modern”.
It is composed of 5 areas such as “Hikari-no Tower” (The Light Tower)”, “Yui-no Arch” (The Knot Ark)”, “Tenku-no Asa-koushi (The Hemp Lattice in The Sky)”, “Hikari-no Ranma (The Light Transom)” and “Hikari-no Passage (The Light Passage)”.
The main illumination, “Hikari-no Tower” resembles Satsuma Kiriko, a traditional glass handicraft made in Kagoshima prefecture.
Outdoor pillars of Amu Plaza are decorated with illuminations of a kimono’s decorative cord motif.
Furthermore, the beautiful lights, resembling Japanese traditional patterns, decorate the building and the passages.
