Shōman is the 8th of 24 solar terms (節氣) in the traditional East Asian calendars.
“Shōman” means that the weather becomes fine and everything starts to go well.
It is the term when everything grows gradually and reaches a certain size or the term when the wheat which was seeded in the fall bear and people feel relieved a little bit.
