Kanmuri-dake is one of the Sacred mountains in Satsuma peninsula (another one is Mt. Kinpo in Minami-satsuma).
It has a legend in which Jofuku (a legendary person who lived in China and asked for permission to search for an elixir for Shi Huángdì) came to search for the elixir of life about 2,200 years ago.
A goma memorial service will be held invoking citizen’s happiness.
There’s a Kanmuri-dake hill market products exhibition (Kanmuri-dake yamaichi bussan-ten) in which about 70 shops sell local products and other things.
Nagasaki Dragon Dance Performance will also be held.
There is a free shuttle bus service from the temporary parking lots to the event site.
