Enjoy the veiw of Sakurajima and Kinko bay from a ferry.
It is about a 50 minute cruise in Kinko bay and it departures Sakurajima Ferry Terminal at 11:05 everyday. The ferry goes around Kanze and off Taisho lava looking at Sakurajima and the city, so you can enjoy the view of Sakurajima from different angles, Osumi peninsula and Kaimon-dake.
If you are lucky, you might be able to see dolphins swimming in Kinko bay!
On the ferry, they have a sightseeing announcement service and you can get discount services of hotels and shops in Sakurajima.

Sakurajima Sightseeing Bus "Sakurajima Island View" departures the Sakurajima Port at 12:15, so the access is also good.

[Note] Tickets are only valid from Kagoshima port to Sakurajima port (travel time 50 minutes). Please show your ticket at Sakurajima port window. When returning to Kagoshima port, please pay the fare (one-way 150 yen).
