The Sakurajima Hino-shima Matsuri, which was postponed due to the raising of Sakurajima's eruption alert level to 5, will now be held on Saturday, October 1st!

The festival representing Sakurajima will be held for the first time in three years and is a powerful festival that lives up as its name in Japanese, "Fire Island Festival”.
The spectacular show of 2,000 fireworks launched from near the venue, and a laser music performance will be great.
There will also be stage events such as Sakurajima Hino-shima Taiko drums and local performing arts.

*This will be the last year that Kagoshima City will serve as the secretariat for the Sakurajima Hino-shima Festival, and from next year the festival will be community-driven.
*This year, due to Corona measures, admission will be suspended when the number of visitors reaches 18,000 on a first-come, first-served basis.
