This festival is unique in the country, with horses performing samba-like steps to music. This year, the festival will be held for the first time in three years.
The festival is Kagoshima shrine’s traditional event, which has more than 460-year history, invoking the good health of domestic animals, good crops, and good health of people.
The festival was originally held by farmers.
A stamp rally and raffle will also be held.
