The Kuma area in Hitoyoshi is famous as a castle town of the Sagara clan. The Kuma river is considered to be one of the three most rapid rivers in Japan (the other two being Mogami River and Fuji River) and it is a popular tourist spot. About 70,000 tourists take a ride on the river every year. Spa and shochu are also popular here. Craft Park Ishino Park, Hitoyoshi Ohina Street (Kokonoka-machi and Itsuka-machi), Hitoyoshi Ohina Street (Kajiya machi) and Sentoku temple and 100 other places will exhibit hina dolls.
