This festival is held at the same time as the Gion Festival. At the Gion Festival, colorful floats are paraded through the streets.
There are also night stalls and stage events such as local entertainment to add to the festive atmosphere.
The festival reaches its climax with a finale of Gion floats and 5,000 fireworks launched against the backdrop of the East China Sea.
