Here is the traffic information for Kyushu after the Kumamoto Earthquakes
JR
JR Hohi Line (JR豊肥線)
The operations between Otsu / 大津 (Kumamoto) and Bungo-ogi / 豊後萩 (Oita) were suspended due to landslide.
Minami Aso Railway (南阿蘇鉄道)
The whole line operations are suspended because of landslides.
＊All Kyushu Shinkansen services has been operating from April 27th.
Road Conditions
Kyushu Expressway (九州自動車道)
Kyushu Expressway is fully opened, but because of the disaster recovery work, there is a traffic control (two way traffic and speed limit 20km / hour) between Mashiki-kumamoto IC (益城熊本IC) and Kashima JCT (嘉島JCT).
Oita Expressway (大分自動車道)
There is a traffic control (two way traffic) all day between Yufuin IC (湯布院IC) and Hiji IC (日出IC) because of the disaster recovery work.
