Hanya-bushi is a Japanese traditional festival dance thought to have roots in the dance Amami Roku-cho.
About 80 teams, 1100 people, dance to Hanya-bushi.
The main site, Water Front Park and other sites such as Tenmonkan, Chuo Park and Kagoshima Chuo Station will be lively with gorgeous dance and dancers' beautiful costumes.
Some events such as a dance contest, Kinko-bay Yacht Cruise, a raffle and other activities will be held.
Some stalls will sell tasty Kagoshima dishes.
A cycling event, Kagoshima City Cycle will also be held.
