Ikedako Pax is a beautifully curved white building standing on the bank of Lake Ikeda, the largest lake in Kyushu. It contrasts with the green artificial grass on the roof, which is sloped and climbable.
The Latin word Pax, the name of the building, is based on the image of the goddess of peace and order in Roman mythology.
There is an open space for exchanges, and a water deck facing Lake Ikeda.
Also, there is a foyer that can be used for sightseeing experiences and civic activities, etc., and a café where visitors can relax by the lake inside the building.
