Takachiho has the legend of the descent of the Sun Goddess’s grandson to earth (tenson korin).
This festival dates back to the legend, and invokes the peace and security of the nation.
Kirishima Kumen Daiko (traditional drum performance) and Kirishima Kagura (sacred music and dance performance) are dedicated while behind, the god’s logs burn brightly.
