Kareigawa station was opened in 1903, and it is known as one of the oldest train station in Japan. (Another sstation is Osumi-yokogawa station on the Hisatsu line of JR Kyushu.)
During the period, Hina dolls are exhibited in the station.
On the 3rd of March (Sun), koto performances will be held at the arrival times of Limited Express “Hayato-no Kaze”.
At the same time, tea and sweets will be served free to the first 150 arrivals.
