This café is located near "Sekiyoshi Sluice Gate of Yoshino Leat", one of the World Cultural Heritage sites.
Rice fields spread out in front of the café, and you can feel the sound of the rice plants rustling in the wind.
Handmade bags and accessories are on display and for sale inside the cafe.
You can go out onto the terrace from inside the store, where there are tables and counter-seats to enjoy the view. It is pleasant to have lunch while enjoying the Japanese countryside view from the counter-seats.
Reservations are recommended during lunch hours (11:30 am ~ 2:00 pm) on weekends and holidays, as many people visit the restaurant.
The popular daily special, Kago Gozen, includes a basket with a variety of small bowls, rice, and soup for \1,300 (with dessert and coffee). The coffee in the lunch set is self-serve and can be refilled freely.
Non-lunch hours, they offer a relaxing time with sweets such as dessert plate sets and icecreams, and beverages such as coffee, tea, and homemade herbal teas.
Monthly exhibitions of paintings and handmade artwork are also held.
