Setsubun (節分 / Bean-Throwing Festival or Bean-Throwing Ceremony) is the day before the beginning of spring in Japan. The name literally means "seasonal division".
Kirishima Jingu Shrine holds a celebrations for Setsubun. Priests and invited guests will throw roasted soy beans and lots which you could win prizes such as electrical products, shochu and other things. Many people come to the event and everyone pushing and shoving to get the gifts tossed from above.
