HAYATO HAMA-KUDARI (HAYATO GOING TO THE BEACH)

This event is said to have started because of an oracle of Usa Jingu saying hold a Buddhist memorial service to appease the spirits of the Hayato family. It is held invoking abundant crops, a good fishing catch and world peace.
Mikoshi parades walk from Kagoshima Jingu to Hamanoichi Yahata Yashiki.
You can join the parades as samurai warriors (6,000 yen), court ladies (1,500 yen) or pages (1,500 yen). The fee for costume rental and insurance are included in the fee. Ask for details at the number below.
