This park is the memorial of air force soldiers who flew from kushira and died in okinawa in World WarⅡ. There is a memorial tower in the middle of the park. Around the tower there are former runways South to North and East to West for 1.3 km in each direction. The former runways are full of cherry blossoms in this season.
"Kushira Cherry Blossom Festival (Kushira Sakura Matsuri" will be held on the 7th of April (Sun). A jogging race and stage performances will be held. Some street stalls will sell food and drink.
