This is a place where people can learn about space and natural phenomena through display items and hands on experiences.
You can learn about Sakurajima on the 3rd floor with the big diorama of Sakurajima, in which you can feel as if you are flying above Sakurajima on a bicycle.
The 4th floor is the “Science Lab”. You can enjoy a “Science Theater (科学劇場)” with interesting and surprising experiments, and a “Open Workshop (だれでも工房)” in which you can enjoy making origami, polypropylene band balls, slime or more things. All of these activities are free.
The planetarium which shows you a realistic beautiful starry sky and a dome screen cinema with a diameter of 23 meters are also popular.
