On March 15, 2025, Sengan-en Station officially opened in Yoshino, Kagoshima City!
This new station is conveniently located right across the road from Sengan-en, a popular sightseeing spot, and the Shoko Shuseikan, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.
To celebrate the grand opening, a special event was held at Oukatei Stage inside Sengan-en. Visitors enjoyed performances of traditional Japanese arts, including shishimai (lion dance), wadaiko (Japanese drums), shimauta (island folk songs), and gagaku (classical court music), creating an elegant and festive atmosphere.
Sengan-en Station is part of the JR Nippo-honsen, located between Kagoshima Station and Ryugamizu Station. Passengers can enjoy a scenic train ride with breathtaking views of Kinko Bay and Sakurajima along the way.
If you want to check train timetables and route searches, Google Maps’ route search is highly recommended. You can also check fares.
