I wrote about a very nice cycling location with cheap rental fees, 200 yen for up to 1hour per person.
Today, this is an article about rollerblading at the same park and more information!!
The rollerblade area has 3 courses: a beginners’ course, a “speed” course and a skate park area with ramps / jumps. You can enjoy yourself at whichever one suits you .
If you bring your own equipment (roller skates, skate boards or protectors) you don’t need the rental fee which is 100 yen for a set of rollerblades and 100 yen for the protectors per 1 hour, so you can enjoy skating for only the entrance fee (adults 200 yen / hour, Children 100 yen / hour)!
If you are not confident, skate in the beginner course for a while and then challenge the speed course, which has some gentle ups and downs.
This is the beginner course. It is surrounded by fences, so even if you are a real beginner, you can still walk holding the fences. The size is 30m × 50m.
This is the speed course. A 555m-long path with ups and downs. It is quite good exercise to skate this course.
This course is surrounded by seasonal flowers and pine trees, so you can skate through pine woods while listening to birds singing – feel that nature!
The 2 photos above are the skate park.
People are coming from quite far places, and are enjoying skating at their own level from children to adults.
You might think that skaters could be a little unapproachable if you are a beginner, but generally they are friendly and kind.
One of the guys fixed my friends skateboard on this day.
Enjoying a good 1hour and it costs only 200 yen (if you bring your equipment)!! I think it is cheap!
Fukiage-hama Kaihin Park has other facilities, too.
The kids playground is much bigger than it looks like in the picture above.
The facilities are so big that adults can enjoy them, too.
The lower part in the picture shown becomes a pond in summer.
This is a place where children can wade or play in the water.
This is a basketball hoop behind the cycling center.
Boys are often playing basketball here.
There are 2 soccer areas, a huge grassy field and a log house you can use as a rest area.
A pool will be open in summer.
A camp site is right next to the park, and in golden week many people stay there.
This is a little-known place where you can enjoy the Sand Festival without being annoyed by the traffic jam.
People are very relaxed here, and I feel like time passes more slowly.
If you are busy and feeling a little stressed, why not come here and refresh yourself!
