The nice weather has arrived!
It is the season for outings!!
Fukiage-hama Kaihin Park is highly recommended.
It takes about 1.5 hours from the central city of Kagoshima city.
There are many kinds of activities and you can spend all day here.
There is no shop in the park currently, so please bring some snacks and drinks.
This is around the main entrance of the park.
Flowers with various colors welcome you.
There are sand statues siting on both side of the entrance.
The place is famous for the sand festival.
The sand festival “Sand And Flower Festa” will be held from May 2nd (Thu) to May 12th (Sun) near this park.
There are some activities which there aren’t in any other places in Kagoshima.
Cycling and roller skating are recommended!!
The rent fees are cheap.
If you have your own equipment, you can use it.
Today, I will write about cycling.
This is the cycling center where you can rent bicycles.
Turn left at the main entrance, then you can see this building on the right.
There are many kinds of bikes from kids bikes to mountain bikes.
There are bikes which have child seats on them as well.
Tandems are available, too.
The fee is 200 yen / person up to 2 hours.
The cycling course is great here!
It is nice to cycle in the big park, but I like the cycling path right outside of the park the most.
Pine trees line the path, and I feel like I’m cycling somewhere abroad.
The path is very quiet and really peaceful.
The smell of the pine trees makes you calm!
If you cycle along the path, you will reach Sunset Bridge.
It is a bit hard to cycle up the bridge, but there is something worthwhile at the top of the bridge.
Go and find out what it is!
Hint: your dream might come true!?

If you want to have a rest, there is a little cafe on the park side of the bridge (almost under the bridge).
Cafe AOBA.
Lunch, coffee, cakes etc.
You could spend the whole day just cycling .
This is the place you can really relax.
